Brazilian cellist, composer, arranger and producer JAQUES MORELENBAUM is blending together all this elements bringing a panoramic view of development of samba since it’s roots till nowadays, playing compositions by CAYMMI, ANTONIO JOBIM, JOAO GILBERTO, CAETANO VELOSO, GILBERTO GIL, EGBERTO GISMONTI, CARLINHOS BROWN, etc.

Samba is the perfect mix of african, european and brazilian native musical influences which serves music lovers either for dancing purposes or just for listening and spiritual delighting.

MORELENBAUM was musical director, arranger and cellist for CAETANO VELOSO during 14 years and also have been collaborating with RYUCHI SAKAMOTO, STING, CESARIA EVORA, DAVID BYRNE, BILL FRISELL, among others.

Since 2005, Jaques Morelenbaum has developed a solo project with CelloSambaTrio, together with two great Brazilian musicians, Lula Galvão and Rafael Barata. We are currently presenting an album of addition: 'Saudades do Futuro - Jaques Morelenbaum Cellosam3atrio'
